We owe a great deal to our inspirational Musical Director, Mark Deeks.
Mark is the owner of Music Newcastle, and has played the piano for more than 30 years, building up a wealth of experience as a freelance performer, musical director, arranger, and lecturer.
His work has seen him perform at venues such as The Sage Gateshead, Sunderland Empire, Whitley Bay Playhouse, Leeds Town Hall, the Edinburgh Festival, the Cathedrals of York, Durham and Newcastle, Halifax Playhouse, Ripon Racecourse, Euro Disney, St Eustache Cathedral in Paris, Carnegie Hall in New York and many others.
His arrangements and orchestrations are regularly performed by the Royal Northern Sinfonia and the orchestra of Opera North. His client list has included celebrities such as Faye Tozer, Mike Ashley, David Miliband, Alfie Joey, Anna Foster, Steve Harper, Jack Colback, and Lenny Henry.
Mark is also Musical Director and arranger Echo Choir and assistant Musical Director of Inspiration Choir. He has also released two solo albums
- Safesake in 2010
- Lightburst, an album of piano music in 2016.
